My Community Contribution

Beyond my professional work, I believe in the importance of making a positive impact on the world around me. This page highlights my efforts to support various initiatives and communities where I can offer my time and energy to help others grow and succeed.

Organizing Committee President – Project I Tech | AIESEC

01/2019 – 12/2019

During my time with AIESEC, I had the privilege of leading a dedicated team for “Project I-Tech.” My main goal was to give back to the community by organizing educational support for local government school students.
Together with my team members, I conducted teaching lessons focused on helping students gain new skills and knowledge. This role was not just about teaching; it was about leadership and responsibility. I managed the project from start to finish, ensuring our team stayed focused and our students received the best possible support. This experience helped me grow as a leader and taught me the value of professional collaboration and community service.

  • Nishan has been a committed and dedicated individual that I have come across in AIESEC in University of Kelaniya. He has played several roles in the organization and has shown his capabilities in different aspects. When it comes to academics, he was a bright student among the students. His knowledge in software engineering and computer studies is always admired within the academics and AIESEC organization too. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Nishan to any career opportunity that he would be a part of.

During my time as a board member, I focused on making the internet more accessible for everyone. I believe that digital tools should be available to all, regardless of their background. I helped organize and manage websites for various projects that promoted digital literacy.
I also served as a Resource Person for several exhibitions and training programs. In this role, I guided visitors and conducted sessions aimed at teaching people how to use digital technology effectively. By helping to plan these programs, I worked to reduce the digital divide and ensure that more people in the community felt confident using the internet.
